Ultrasound Welding System for Filter Bags

Task and Process

The following describes a system for the fully automatic production of endless chain filter pockets made of artificial fleece.

The machine is operational after tooling the fleece material roll. The fleece is first unwound and supplied in vertically hanging strips in the buffer zone for the following work steps.

The actual production process starts by folding the filter pocket that is then equipped with interior spacers. The side edges and the spacers are welded in an ultrasound method.

The depth of the filter pockets can vary between 360, 500, 600 and 700mm, the width can be varied in a range of ±100 mm.

10 to 20 seconds per filter pocket depending on the size
