The company also works as a contract manufacturer for numerous reputed customers. The Thuringia company complements FGB’s high-performance machine pool thanks to its large 5-axle and portal milling machines, drills and deep-hole drilling machines.

For almost 30 years SST (Thuringia/Bavaria) has been a leading company in the fields of road-building, asphalt, civil engineering, rural roads, gravity dams, hydraulic engineering and gabion construction. The youngest member of the Steinbach Group is ecoglas® alias Steinbach Schaumglas GmbH & Co. KG. Its production facilities are located directly next to the FBG buildings in the industrial park Ost in Zella-Mehlis. This is where cellular glass, a forward-thinking ecological insulation material, is made of glass powder in a modern 40 m long furnace path.
