Research for the production of the future

The family-owned company located in Salz has a new research project in the starting gates. As part of the research programme “KMU-innovativ: Produktionsforschung”, introduced by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the experienced FGB-specialists will be developing an innovative linear drive based on the transversal flux technology. The cooperative project entitled “TransInno”, involving a research institute as well as another company, operating in the field of electronic development, will concentrate on the research of efficient production possibilities and the improvement of this particular drive technologies performance.

In addition to the expansion of the current product portfolio in the area of drive technologies, the research project offers FGB the chance to intensify the contacts with universities and cooperation partners and to further improve the technical know-how concerning linear drives.
