Start of training with best prospects and a view

The 7 new trainees of the steinbachgroup flew high during the two-day introductory event, which took place from 04-05 September 2023 at the youth education centre on the Volkersberg. The starting signal for the young employees’ professional lives was accompanied by Marcus Roßhirt, Jannik Stäblein and Maren Beck, who are responsible for training. The trainees were also guided through the eventful two-days-program by an experienced trainer from the youth education center.

During an interesting outdoor activity under a bright blue summer sky, the aim was to find different points in the terrain with the support of GPS devices and to solve the tricky cooperation tasks together as a team. Afterwards, the food for the barbecue evening was prepared in the group. The newcomers were able to get to know each other personally in a relaxed atmosphere and to exchange the many impressions of the day.

The next morning, the daring young professionals mastered the next exciting challenge with flying colors: a climbing course that reached over wobbly obstacles up to dizzying heights of the treetops. The view from up here of the wonderful Rhön landscape was a special experience for all participants. In the end, they went back down as fast as an arrow over steep zip lines, which provided a lot of thrills and a lot of fun. An evaluation and reflection session rounded off the successful event.

The steinbachgroup wishes all new trainees a successful start to their careers full of exciting challenges, with valuable experience and opportunities to learn a lot of new things.

Steinbach provides training in a wide variety of professions in the two divisions of building materials/construction/waste disposal and mechanical engineering. With almost 400 employees, the steinbachgroup has been intensively involved in the field of training and further education of young people for decades and currently enables 27 trainees to complete an apprenticeship in commercial and technical professions.
