Eddy current testing for Brake discs
In this application, brake discs are tested for cracks. With the introduction of the Euro 7 standard, which is currently being planned, the requirements for the brake surface with regard to particulate emissions have become particularly stringent. For further processing of the brake disc blanks, these are inspected for surface-near defects in order to exclude a failure of the brake disc.
In addition, the defects can be evaluated in different color classifications depending on the phase position of the test signal. Functional holes can be masked out using image analysis software.
