Task and Process
The wheel testing equipment shown here is used to test wheels in an endurance test. Typical test pieces are e.g. wheels on wheelie bins.
The centrally supported driven rotating arm has a wheel at its end which is moves across the floor. The described circular track moves across a ramp at one point; at the end of the ramp the wheels fall back onto the floor again. The necessary upwards and downwards movement is enabled thanks to the parallelogram design of the rotating arm.
The rotary arm has holding mandrels for additional weights directly above the wheels. This means that the wheel load can be set individually.
