Task and Process
The pallet transport system shown here serves to link two production stations. The motors that need to be processed are placed in recyclable pallets and moved manually from one station to the next. The pallets have ball casters underneath to allow easy movement on the wear-proof table top. There are stoppers on the processing stations which are used to align the pallet; the operator affixes these with a foot pedal.
There are four pallets in circulation. After the workpiece has been removed at the end of the table, the pallets are returned via an underfloor system which is loaded with empty pallets by means of a lifting device.
