Bearing Grinder
Task and Process
The system shown here is a fully automatic grinding machine for processing the inner rings of taper roller bearings. It was integrated into an existing production line. The rails are fed to the system via a special device and are then automatically clamped after separation.
The machine control unit continuously adapts the supply to the wear of the sanding disk to guarantee a constant level of precision in the process even for large quantities. Likewise, the cutting speed is kept constant regardless of the tool wear. Also, the control unit switches automatically from rapid movement to the processing mode as soon as the structure-borne noise sensor registers that the sanding disk has reached the part.
These rings are automatically ejected after processing.
Tooling time:
< 20 min.
Output:
Depending on the type 170 – 220 rings/h., (loading process 2 sec.)
Cutting speed:
max. 100 m/sec., automatic constant cutting speed
Sanding disk diameter:
150 mm (new) up to 105 mm (used)
Part range:
3 types of inner rings between 85 mm and 135 mm shoulder diameter
